AN EXCEPTIONAL TERROIR

The essence of Pazo de La Cuesta wines

Our vineyards extend towards the banks of the Sil River in the easternmost area of the Ribeira Sacra.

The essence of Pazo de La Cuesta’s wines

A unique personality born from the very earth

The exceptional natural conditions of our vineyards allow us to achieve the maximum expression of the fruit from our vines.

The estate, with a unique northeast-facing orientation, gently slopes down towards the river, located just 300 meters away. The climate of this area is Mediterranean, with a clear Atlantic influence, which, along with the unique microclimate of the Sil Valley, protects our grapes from extreme weather during the summer. This climate can be described as oceanic-Mediterranean, characterized by relatively low annual rainfall, around 800-850 mm, and significant temperature variations between December and July, making it one of the driest and hottest areas in Galicia.

The soils of the Pazo vineyard, composed of clay and granite, contribute a uniqueness that enhances the quality of our grapes.
